Just because I find your comments quite irksome, I took the liberty of compiling a list with the help of my friend ChatGPT and then reviewed them by hand:
Actions by Biden to curb environmental disasters:

-

-
Inflation Reduction Act (Aug 16, 2022): Included $369 billion for energy security and climate change programs, promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflation_Reduction_Act
-
Environmental Justice Executive Order (April 21, 2023): Aimed to improve the lives of communities disproportionately affected by pollution and climate change. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2023/04/21/executive-order-on-revitalizing-our-nations-commitment-to-environmental-justice-for-all/
-
Offshore Wind Projects (Ongoing since 2021): Approved large-scale projects to boost offshore wind energy, aiming for 30 gigawatts by 2030. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/09/21/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-advances-offshore-wind-transmission-strengthens-regional-supply-chain-buildout-and-drives-innovation/
-
Public Lands Conservation (Ongoing since 2021): The “America the Beautiful” initiative aims to conserve 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030. https://www.blm.gov/press-release/biden-harris-administration-finalizes-strategy-guide-balanced-management-conservation https://www.doi.gov/priorities/america-the-beautiful
-
Paused Natural Gas Exports (Ongoing): Paused the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/biden-hits-pause-approvals-liquified-natural-gas-exports-rcna135831 But was later reversed by a judge to allow them, potentially increasing global greenhouse gas emissions: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/01/climate/federal-judge-biden-gas-exports.html
Actions by Biden that may have worsened environmental disasters:
-
Continued Fossil Fuel Leasing (2021-2022): Despite climate pledges, the Biden administration approved new oil and gas drilling leases on public lands and waters, raising concerns about increased emissions and environmental degradation. https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2023/09/29/biden-offshore-oil-drilling-climate/
-
Controversial Pipeline Projects (2021): Approved certain pipeline projects like Line 3 in Minnesota, which faced criticism for potential environmental damage and contribution to fossil fuel dependence. https://www.transportation.gov/briefing-room/investing-america-biden-harris-administration-announces-18-billion-infrastructure
So as we can see, Biden has taken a few progressive actions for the environment. I don’t recall Clinton, Bush, Obama, or much less Trump ever having such a streak but I admit I haven’t looked much into it. However, the facts here speak for themselves.
Edit: Moved the LNG one to the top section since Biden did pause the greenhouse gas exports but a judge reversed the decision later, so it wasn’t an action by Joe directly although his intention was in line with his previous work.
It wasn’t important enough for you to write, or even to find a list someone else made, of which I know at least one that goes around on lemmy sometimes. Why would i check a list so clearly unimportant to you?
What’s so wrong about making another one, editing and manually adding sources? What part of that makes it not important to spend closer to 30-40 min on it? And what if I didn’t know another list exists? What if I’d rather make my own so you don’t have the bullshit excuse to dismiss it. Because now you got two lists to contend with.
And is it me who doesn’t care or are you projecting? Because it sounds like a copout from you.
Like I said, you’re irksome and I don’t mind doing it for that sole reason alone.

asking a chatbot to do it for you
It’s the future, friend. I’m not about to spend 3 hours of my precious time on something like this just so you can dismiss it in three seconds and strut on the board like a mindless pigeon.
it’s not important enough for me to read
And that’s great! I added the sources manually, so you can at least read those. The summaries were for your convenience but I guess you don’t like such commodities.
I would genuinely love to hear
You would genuinely not read it, so why bother. You got like 15 decent things he’s done right here that you won’t even glance over because you seem a little intimidated by it.
unless his administration actually upholds those standards, which they won’t
On their own volition or does obstructionism count?
Biden’s got my vote by a hair rn
I frankly don’t give a rat’s ass what you got by a hair.
If you wanna show me some of that without the help of your friend, I’d legit love to see it
No, you don’t. You’d just love to give someone a fool’s errand and laugh about it later.
Neat, I didn’t know you’d actually added sources and some some work here. Nothing makes me less interested in reading a comment than “I asked chat gpt and…”, I wish you’d led with you finding the sources and not with you using a chatbot lol. I’ll check the sources, thank you for doing that work. Seriously, I’ll appreciate having some reason to not hate voting for biden since he’s likely too much of an overconfident dinosaur to make way for a serious candidate
I didn’t know you’d actually added sources
Yeah, that’s because you refused to read.
Nothing makes me less interested in reading a comment
And nothing makes me less interested in a conversation than when someone is outright dismissive without reason and would rather use a fool’s errands as the goalpost. You do whatever you want with that, I’m done with whatever you have to say.

you know you’re lying. You know i know you’re lying
Is he lying, though? Or is that just some talking point? I frankly find it quite irritating when people accuse me of a lie that may be ignorance, exaggeration, or whatever. I don’t know how @Sucubus feels about this but we all deserve more accurate insults than these cheap shots.
