    I have seen progressives in general become so anti-American that they start shilling for blatantly far right talking points. Claiming that the Japanese internment camps were “concentration camps” because it fits the technical definition is a classic example. It’s literally a Holocaust denial through trivialization/moral equivalency tactic that the far right loves.

      Yeah, as a Washington state resident I’m vividly aware of my state’s racist treatment of its large Japanese minority during WW2, but “concentration camps” is an exaggeration for sure, and does a huge disservice to the Holocaust victims, Uyghurs, and the indigenous children in those old Canadian and American “boarding schools”; now THOSE are/were concentration camps.
