Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is physically impossible, so having boots or not doesn’t change the circumstances.
It’s a figure of speech. And I was saying that you can’t get ahead in life without a living wage. Kinda surprised you didn’t understand that. Hmmm.
I did understand what you mean and rejected it. Life is not about money and personal gain.
